Аннотация

This article examines the reflection of the concept “honey” in the Bulgarian language, in particular, it is viewed like a cognitive entity concept implemented in symbolic form with high semiotic density, with structural and semantic layers, and with a certain ethnocultural specific character. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the notional component of this concept, based on the lexicographic studying of the dictionary definitions of its nominees and the phraseological units. The consideration of the lexical representation of the concept of honey shows us that dictionary definitions cover states of varying nuance intensity and are indicative of the historical development in the scope of the studied concept. The folklore and the semiotic charge not only help to clarify additional details in the conceptual field of honey, but they also back its specific place in the culture and ideas of Bulgarian people with arguments.
