THE EXHIBITION LIFE OF MOSCOW AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY: ART EXHIBITIONS FROM ST. PETERSBURG
Abstract
The article is devoted to the exhibitions of St. Petersburg art associations and groups of artists that were
exhibited in Moscow at the beginning of the twentieth century. A list of such expositions has been determined.
The periodicity of their organization is traced, on the basis of archival materials, information about the place and
time of exhibitions existing in the literature is supplemented. Examples of official conclusions on the resolution
of their device with comments and censorship restrictions are presented. Some erroneous information published
in the specialized literature has been clarified. Examples of the reaction of professional criticism to these projects,
which are popular with the viewer and commercially successful, are given.
