THE CONCEPT OF “SIN” IN THE THEOLOGICAL DISCOURSE AND THE POSSIBILITIES TO TRANSLATE IT FROM RUSSIAN INTO GERMAN
Abstract
The paper reveals the concept of “sin” from the position of the three main Christian denominations
(Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Protestantism), parallel abstracts from the Holy Scriptures, the main Christian prayers
are analysed and possible equivalents for the notion are given, which might be helpful in translating from Russian
into German
